Choice Discount

Mid-dissertation, I opened my front door to a lovely little parcel* from Choice Discount. Living in Scotland now, I do miss trips down to Choice with Polly and Mumbly, so it’s good to know that they’re launching online soon! Their online store is going to have exclusive sales, with bargains you can’t get in their stores.

As well as womenswear (when I worked in the city, pretty much all of my workwear was from Choice), they also cater for men and children, and have homeware and make-up brands. They’re on instagram now too, and I’ve fallen a little bit in love with this bag from their menswear range. I do love a weekend bag.

In with my parcel was the w7 In The Nude palette, which the beauty blogging community quickly spied as a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. It’s gorgeous. I’ve got a couple of nude palettes (like this one, and this one), because they’re the eye colours I wear the most often, but In The Nude has pretty much become the one I grab first. All of the colours blend together beautifully, and it’s really easy to just sweep a couple of them together for daytime, and build up with the darker ones for later. Day-to-night makeup ftw.
Choice Discount also sent me a new liquid eyeliner, which was very much needed, and having binge-watched Orange is the New Black on Netflix and watched a few Burlesque shows at the Fringe, I’m now chanelling Alex Vause’s eyeliner skills.

Okay, can I also point out how gorgeous the clutch bag they sent me is? Now I am free of dissertations, I’m very much looking forward to taking this out dancing with me very soon. Yay! It’s got lots of little compartments, which is always good, and it’s leopardy, and leopardy is my favourite.

Thanks Choice!

Disclaimer: Choice Discount sent me a lovely parcel of goodies to review. As ever, all writing and opinions are honest and my own. I shopped at Choice lots when I lived in Essex, they have stores all over the place.

Undressed

Following the success of their Heaven & Earth palette, MUA have revealed Undressed, another gorgeous nude palette.

It’s even closer in colours to the Urban Decay Naked Palette than Heaven & Earth, and is a dupe even down to the name (Undressed vs UD Naked, see?). These colours are a mixture of matt and shimmer, which is nice considering that Heaven & Earth was all shimmer. As I have both palettes now, I can do even more with them, as none of the shadows are duplicated.

My lovely friend Brooke bought me the palette, as I couldn’t get hold of one anywhere, and as she’s now completely hooked on MUA too! It’s available from the MUA site, and from Superdrug, and is priced at £4. MUA is such great value it’s unreal, and is more than worth the money.

The shadows are incredibly pigmented, and the dark blue is fantastic for a smoky eye – I was too excited to take pictures before I used mine, sorry! #badblogger.  if you don’t have it yet, definitely get yourself down to Superdrug to pick one up!!
