Last week, I finished packing all of my
possessions books, and Brooke drove up to Edinburgh to collect me! After a trip to the cinema, some super early morning hoovering (sorry ex-neighbours), and a visit to the grumpiest charity shop ever, Brooke and I were ready to head off on our road trip back to Essex! Almost nine hours in a car sends you slightly stir-crazy, and gives you a numb bum, let me tell you, but it was a beautiful day, and the first three hours were spent driving though countryside, waving at cows, belting out Michael Bublé, and competing to see who could spot the smallest baby lambs. We managed just a quick toasted sandwich pitstop, and a petrol station stockup on crisps, and most of our drive was soundtracked by Stevie Wonder, Pure Garage, and everyone’s favourite (ha!) Canadian crooner. Yay!!
Sarah, being the cutie that she is, had put up bunting and bought me presents AND A CAKE for coming home. She is a sweetheart. We unloaded the car, ordered a ton of Dominos, and just about managed to eat Colin before falling asleep. 🙂
Most of my week now looks like this…
