By far the strangest film I’ve seen for a very long time, I’m really struggling to describe Under The Skin. IMDB call it horror/sci-fi, and The Guardian said that it’s “very erotic, very scary”. Sorry Guardian, I totally disagree. I think it was a lot more weird than scary.
The soundtrack (by Mica Levi) is perfect, and the film is beautifully shot. But something about it just made me feel… a bit unsettled, which I guess is the point. I did like it, it just wasn’t what I expected it to be.
