I couldn’t have said it better myself, thanks Francis.

Seriously though, actually deciding what I want to do with my life – as a career – is pretty terrifying.
I want a job where I can read books, and then thrust them at people, saying, “This is going to change your life.”  I want to have adventures, and always feel like there’s more to find out.

Top of my to-do list this week is making an appointment with the Careers Centre at uni, so that they can tell me what that job is and how to get there. I’ve applied for some Masters courses, so fingers crossed there, and I think I’m heading towards teaching at university level, but I need to talk to someone about how to do it, and get myself a little plan of action in place.

This post is really me just checking in on my resolutions. How are yours going?

When I left uni I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do. I ended up in an admin job in a company with good promotion opportunities. Now I’m in marketing (something I would never have thought to do on my own) and I love it! If all fails, get into a company that does lots of different things and maybe you can work your way round different departments until something fits. x
