And so, having kicked off with a beautiful sunshiny bank holiday Monday, we come to the end of another week. I can’t believe it’s September already, this year is flying by so fast!
This is possibly the weirdest competition I have ever seen. People actually dye and cut their beloved pets’ fur, to make poodle-pandas and poodle-peacocks, to name but a few! Definitely some very very strange people out there. There’s loads of websites with different poodle pictures on them, but here’s a poodle-camel. He’s got tassels and everything.
Noel Gallagher has quit Oasis blaming “intolerable verbal and violent intimidation”, and has issued an official statement, saying “As of last Friday, August 28, I have been forced to leave the Manchester rock ‘n’ roll pop group Oasis“. He’s spoken about the lack of comradeship from bandmates and management, and apologised to fans for missing the second day of the V festival, and for missing a scheduled gig in Paris. On www.oasisnet.com he posted: “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight … people will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.” Needless to say that the forums have been flooded, and with more comments coming to light every five minutes, it seems that the break up may not be a friendly one.
I am loving X Factor this year, and two audition shows in, Danyl Johnson’s still miles ahead of the pack. Just for some eye and ear-candy, here’s his audition again 🙂
I just found On This Day on the BBC website, which is pretty cool – I like geeky historical things, and now I can wow people with my encylopaedic knowledge of news stories from years and years ago!
Paul McCrudden has conducted a study into how he spends his time, and money, as a consumer, and has invoiced the companies he used. Eat, Pret a Manger, Little Chef and Cranberry have all agreed to pay his invoices. Now if charging businesses £25 an hour for wasting your time in queues isn’t a genius money-making idea, I don’t know what is.
That’s it for this week! I’m off to sit on my balcony in the sushine now, have a great weekend 🙂
